Dear Boyfriend,

I finally made it to the big city and i'm ready to make my mark as a great actress.

To day I bought a show business paper and looked for an agent. There were a lot, so I picked one and went to the address.

When I got to the office the door was open and I heard someone inside.

I figured did was a business meeting so I waited a few minutes then knocked. I heard a door inside close and a man told me to come in.

I went in and after he … adjusted his clothing, said he was just with one of his clients. His name was Mr Pigliocci.

Me voilà maintenant parvenue dans la grande ville, prête à faire  preuve de mes qualités de grande actrice.

J'ai acheté aujourd'hui une revue du show-business pour y trouver un agent. Il y en avait beaucoup, j'en ai donc choisi un et je me suis rendu à son adresse.

Quand je suis arrivé au bureau la porte était entrouverte et j'ai entendu quelqu'un à l'intérieur.

J'ai cru comprendre qu'il s'agissait d'une réunion d'affaires, j'ai donc attendu quelques minutes, puis j'ai frappé. Une porte s'est ouverte à proximité et un homme m'a dit d'entrer.

Je suis entré et, après avoir ajusté ses vêtements ..., l'homme m'a dit qu'il était en affaire avec un de ses clients. Il se nomme M. Pigliocci.
